THIS SATURDAY... FREE SAMPLE OF PRESCHOOL AND KINDERGARTEN! (1/19/12)

If you were to examine various products in your home, how many itemswould you estimate arrived due to a free sample of that particular product? Travel through the aisles of Costco on a Saturday and watch how sales intensify due to their serious promotion of free samples. Walk into any Great Harvest Bread Company and you will discover that you are immediately greeted with the question of "Can I get you a sample of anything?" When visiting Mackinaw Island, part of the fun is traveling from fudge shop to fudge shop and sampling the various secret recipes and determining which particular fudge to actually purchase. Free samples help you learn a lot about a new product!

Years ago, and for some unknown reason, we received a free month of HBO/Showtime unlimited movies. This opened up a whole new world for my husband, who now had every adventure movie at his fingertips. He would mark his calendar for the Clint Eastwood marathon and plan weekend activities around the showing of Rocky I, II, III, IV etc.

However, there was one particular evening I needed to run to the store and. as a result, left Ken in charge of the children. Upon my return, the extreme quiet of the household immediately made me suspicious. As I traveled up the stairway to the bedrooms, I could hear another adventure movie blaring from the television in our room, but no familiar voices accompanied the sound of machine guns and yelling. I entered our bedroom to see Ken fast asleep on our bed with our oldest, who was probably four at the time, sitting next to him with his eyes glued in fascination on the TV. He greeted me by saying, "Shhhh... daddy's sleeping and I'm watching Rambo!" At the conclusion of the free movie channel period, we decided it would be best not to renew this option.

You can learn a lot about a product from a free sample! This Saturday,St. Matthew Lutheran School will offer a free sample of our Preschool and Kindergarten program. We have intentionally designed this day so that parents and children can come together to sample the educational and spiritual opportunities that we offer at St. Matthew.

The design of this program is that interested Preschool 3-Year-Olds and Kindergartener can attend from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.   Interested Preschool 4-Year-Olds can attend from 10:30 a.m. until Noon. 

If you know of any potential family who may be interested, please invite them. Reservations which are helpful but not necessary, can be made by contacting the school office. As a gesture of our appreciation, if any new family that you refer who actually enrolls, you will receive a thank you of $200 off your 2012/2013 tuition.
